Post-War Narrative Walking Simulator
As a game designer, one of my proudest works is a narrative walking simulator called "Post-War". In this game, there are no explicit instructions or dialogues, instead, the environment itself tells the story of the impact of war on the protagonist's life. The player must explore two scenes, one of the protagonist's house before the war and one after, to uncover the tragic reality of the protagonist's life after losing his legs in the war and his spiraling descent into despair after the uncertain fate of his family. Through changes in the scene and atmosphere, the game poignantly highlights the devastating effects of war.
In this project, I was responsible for the level design and development, I built the two maps using some existing material, I did the coding about opening doors and changing scenes and I arranged the position of the items in the map , also did the lighting in the environment. I also helped design the anti-war theme and the background story of the player and his family.
